NYMPHOMANIAC is the wild and poetic story of a woman’s journey from birth to the age of 50 as told by the main character, the self-diagnosed nymphomaniac, Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg).

On a cold winter’s evening the old, charming bachelor, Seligman (Stellan Skarsgård), finds Joe beaten up in an alley. He brings her home to his flat where he cares for her wounds while asking her about her life.

He listens intently as Joe over the next 8 chapters recounts the lushy branched-out and multifaceted story of her life, rich in associations and interjecting incidents.

 Ο σκηνοθέτης του «Da 5 Bloods», Σπάικ Λι, θα αναλάβει την παραγωγή της νέας ταινίας του Στεφόν Μπρίστολ, για το Netflix με τίτλο «Gordon Hemingway & The Realm of Cthulhu», το οποίο φαίνεται ότι έχει σχέση με το έργο του Χ. Φ. Λάβκραφτ.

Το σενάριο, το οποίο είναι γραμμένο από τον Χανκ Γουν, διαδραματίζεται στην ανατολική Αφρική το 1928 και ακολουθεί έναν Αφροαμερικάνο πιστολέρο, τον Γκόρντον Χέμινγουεϊ, o οποίος συνεργάζεται με την πριγκίπισσα Ζενέμπε της Αιθιοπίας για να σώσουν τον αντιβασιλέα τους ο οποίος απήχθη από ένα αρχαίο κακό.

O τίτλος της ταινίας παραπέμπει στη μυθολογία των Κθούλου, του Χ. Φ.Λάβκραφτ αλλά τίποτα δεν έχει επιβεβαιωθεί ακόμα από το Netflix, με το οποίο συνεργάζεται τον τελευταίο καιρό ο Λι.

Ο Μπρίστολ έκανε το σκηνοθετικό του ντεμπούτο το 2019 με την ταινία «See You Yesterday» για το Netflix την οποία είχε αναλάβει και πάλι την παραγωγή της ο Σπάικ Λι, ενώ τα εφέ θα αναλάβει η ομάδα του Goodbye Kansas, η οποία είχε αναλάβει και τα εφέ στις σειρές «Jack Ryan» και «Cursed» αλλά και στην ταινία του Γουές Άντερσον «The French Dispatch».

Μέχρι στιγμής δεν έχει ανακοινωθεί ημερομηνία κυκλοφορίας της ταινίας.
