Sharper is scheduled to be released in select cinemas on February 10, 2023, in the United States, before its streaming release on February 17, 2023, by Apple Studios on Apple TV+.
Sharper "unfolds within the secrets of New York City, from the penthouses of Fifth Avenue to the shadowy corners of Queens. Motivations are suspect and expectations are turned upside down when nothing is as it seems." Caron directs from a screenplay written by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka, two writers who have worked on shows such as Comrade Detective and Superstore. The script for Sharper was included on The Black List from 2020, an annual collection of well-liked screenplays not yet produced. A24 is distributing the film.
According to the logline, the film "is an unconventional love story about three people who unexpectedly help each other re-discover who they really are where they came from and where they're going."
