Two-time Academy Award winner Jodie Foster recently revealed why she turned down the role of Princess Leia in the original Star Wars film.

Foster, who was 13 years old at the time, was offered the role but had to turn it down due to a scheduling conflict with a Disney movie she was already contracted for.

"I had a conflict," Foster told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "I was doing a Disney movie, and I just didn't want to pull out of the Disney movie because I was already under contract."

Foster said she was "a little disappointed" to have to turn down the role, but she's glad that Carrie Fisher eventually got it.
