Λώξη - Iσότιμη πρόσβαση στη ζωή και την τέχνη για όλους

Η Λωξάνδρα, μια νέα γυναίκα με σύνδρομο Down, γίνεται το πρώτο ανάπηρο άτομο που υπογράφει συμβόλαιο ηθοποιού με το Εθνικό Θέατρο της Ελλάδας. Αφήνει την πόλη και τη γνώριμη καθημερινότητά της και ταξιδεύει στην Αθήνα για να γίνει μέλος του επαγγελματικού θιάσου του Εθνικού. Για τους επόμενους 6 μήνες η Λώξη κάνει πρόβες και φίλους, ερωτεύεται, διασκεδάζει, απογοητεύεται και συνεχίζει ξανά και ξανά να διεκδικεί προσβασιμότητα στην πράξη, ανατρέποντας ένα στερεότυπο τη φορά.


H ταινία «Λώξη» κερδίζοντας την αγάπη του κοινού είναι ένα ντοκιμαντέρ για την πρώτη επαγγελματία ηθοποιό με σύνδρομο Down στην Ελλάδα. Είναι η ιστορία της Λωξάνδρας Λούκας, μιας νεαρής γυναίκας και ηθοποιού, η οποία αξιώνει στην πράξη ισότιμη πρόσβαση στη ζωή και την τέχνη της. 

Τι σημαίνει όμως αυτό; Τη στιγμή που η κουβέντα για την συμπερίληψη και την αναπηρία ως κατεξοχήν πολιτικό ζήτημα κερδίζει ολοένα χώρο στον δημόσιο διάλογο, η «Λώξη» αποτυπώνει τη σημαντική στιγμή στην οποία η θεωρία περνάει στην πράξη, ο αποκλεισμός αίρεται, η Λωξάνδρα γίνεται το πρώτο ανάπηρο άτομο που ανεβαίνει ως ηθοποιός στη σκηνή του Εθνικού Θεάτρου της Ελλάδας. Μια ιστορία ειπωμένη χωρίς ταμπού και κλισέ, που δεν εξιδανικεύει (την κανονικότητα), ούτε εξωτικοποιεί (την αναπηρία),  παρά μόνο δίνει τον χώρο και τον χρόνο στην πρωταγωνίστριά της να υπάρξει όπου και όπως επιθυμεί, όπως θα έπρεπε πάντα να συμβαίνει σε μια αληθινά συμπεριληπτική κοινωνία.

Το Under the Bridge είναι μια αληθινή δραματική μίνι σειρά εγκλήματος που εμβαθύνει στην ανατριχιαστική υπόθεση της δολοφονίας της Reena Virk. 


Η σειρά διασκευάζει το βιβλίο της Rebecca Godfrey, δραματοποιώντας τα γεγονότα που οδήγησαν στο θάνατο της Reena και την επακόλουθη έρευνα που φέρνει στο φως τη συμμετοχή επτά κοριτσιών και ενός αγοριού στη βάναυση πράξη. 


Οι θεατές ταξιδεύουν σε ένα αφηγηματικό ταξίδι μέσα από την οπτική γωνία των προσκείμενων στην υπόθεση, προσφέροντας μια βαθιά ματιά στα κοινωνιολογικά υποκείμενα ρεύματα της εφηβικής βίας.


Under the Bridge” is based on acclaimed author Rebecca Godfrey’s book about the 1997 true story of fourteen-year old Reena Virk (Vritika Gupta) who went to join friends at a party and never returned home. 


Through the eyes of Godfrey (Riley Keough) and a local police officer (Lily Gladstone), the series takes us into the hidden world of the young girls accused of the murder — revealing startling truths about the unlikely killer.
